LeakDefend ("we", "us", "our") operates leakdefend.com — an email breach monitoring and subscription tracking service. Contact: support@leakdefend.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: your name and email address when you register.
Email addresses you monitor: stored securely to check against breach databases.
Subscription data: the subscriptions you choose to track (names, amounts, renewal dates).
Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) retained for 30 days.

3. How We Use Your Data

To monitor your email addresses against publicly known data breaches (via HaveIBeenPwned API).
To send you breach alerts and subscription renewal reminders by email.
To process and manage your subscription via Stripe.
To improve and maintain the service.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
HaveIBeenPwned (HIBP) — breach data lookup. Email addresses are sent as k-anonymity hashes, not in plain text.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by law.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Email us at support@leakdefend.com and we will respond within 30 days. EU/EEA residents have additional rights under GDPR. California residents have rights under CCPA.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We do not store payment card data.

8. Cookies

We use only session cookies necessary for login. No tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
